The Greater Grand Forks Fair Board said they are moving forward after their fair manager resigned.

Board members say the announcement was a big surprise. Trina Mills emailed them with her decision to resign even though they hired her only three months ago. Though he said she had a great resume and credentials, board member Duaine Sanden said the job can be tough, and the week of the fair is intense.

" Physically they have their personal lives and commitments You can't make it a full-time job. Which all of a sudden a full-time job became 12 to 15 hours a day."

According to Sanden the board is still absorbing the surprise announcement, but they plan to fill the position eventually.
