If you're looking for a way to celebrate the Fourth of July...The Sertoma Club of Greater Grand Forks will be hosting a festival...with events for the whole family running all day.
Officials say the event attracts thousands from all over the area...and each year they add more events to get everyone involved.
Events start as early as 6:30 a.m. with the firecracker run and end with a fireworks show at 10:30 p.m.
There is also a silent auction in Town Square, a raffle for several prizes...including a new car, and a patriotic kids parade.
The festival has been popular for many years now.
"This will be our 51st year of doing a fireworks show for the community, the Sertoma club started that and we continue to do it. Nineteen years ago we started a 4th of July festival to add to it." said Chairman Paul Waind
The festival takes place on the Greenway and Town Square in Grand Forks with lots for the kids to do as well.
There is a petting zoo, cutest baby contest and kid's games.
The event is free and open to the public.
