Some excited and patriotic youngsters marched this morning in the 32nd annual United Day Nursery Children's Parade in Grand Forks.

Proud parents looked on as their kids marched around the block in costumes each made.

They also played musical instruments and sang as they walked... showing off Fourth of July clothes and decorations.

Organizers say the parade has lasted so many years because the kids genuinely look forward to it and so do the teachers.

"I enjoy seeing all the children have a good time, they like getting dressed up, many of them like showing their parents what they've done. Others are more inclined to want to be with their parents, but that's o.k. too." said event organizer Pam Olson.

Olson says each year the kids come up with new and interesting costumes and parents can't wait to see what they come up with.
