Salvation Army Taking Back To School Donations

There are over forty collection sites all over town for people to donate.

Getting those back to school supplies can be expensive, and the Salvation Army wants to help those in need.

There are over forty collection sites all over town for people to donate things like crayons, pencils and backpacks.

This is the 12th year the Salvation Army has done this fundraiser and organizers say each year the need is greater.

They say even with business donations they couldn't do what they do without your help.

"Without the people of the community giving donations, whether it be checks or the actual supplies we would not be able to give out to the children that need." said social service director Lindy Beauchamp.

You can donate supplies to the Salvation Army or any of the drop sites now through August 20th, and if you are in need of those supplies you can sign up July 15th and 16th.

For more information you can call the Salvation Army at 701-775-2597.
