A district judge will likely issue a gag order Tuesday in the case of a Manvel man charged with killing his brother.
Tuesday at 3:30pm 45-year-old Rodney Chisholm has a gag order and status hearing. Tuesday's gag order hearing was scheduled Monday. District Judge Lawrence Jahnke is assigned to the case.
Chisholm has admitted to killing his brother 59-year-old Donald Chisholm.
Both men are from Manvel.
Bond is set at one million dollars for Rodney Chisholm, who told authorities he and Donald had a fight two weeks ago.
He says he killed Donald by striking him in the head with a metal pipe and strangling him. Donald's body was found on July 7th in rural Grand Forks County.
This isn't Rodney's first run-in with the law.
In early July he was arrested for theft of property when authorities found stolen farm equipment on his property.
Authorities say he posted bond on those charges, then stole another brother's vehicle, and authorities found him in Nebraska.
The gag order will prevent prosecutors, defendants, and defense attorneys from commenting on the case to the media.
