A Computerized Mannequin Helps Train Medical StaffSimon is a computerized mannequin and the only one like it in this area.
Altru is using a life-like mannequin to train medical care staff to help them become more comfortable with emergency situations.
Simon is a computerized mannequin and the only one like it in this area.
The mannequin can be used for blood transfusions, C.P.R. Training and almost any other emergency situation.
Doctors say this training is very helpful and help to provide better outcomes in emergency situations.
"It makes them more comfortable in treating the next critical care patient that they see, and it gives them a new comfort level with dealing with that patient." Altru nurse Ben Dorman said.
In August Altru will hold twelve critical care training courses for medical care staff around the region.
