History books tell us about a time when schools didn't have luxuries like computers, air conditioning and drinking fountains. Today some students got to experience school 100 years ago, rather than just reading about it.

The Grand Forks Historical Society is holding its 5th Annual School House Days in which students spend a whole day in a 1900's one-room school house.

They have a full day of classes, including a poetry reading. It did not take long for students to notice this school did not have lockers, a library or even indoor bathrooms.

Students said even though it was different, it was still a fun day in class.

" You don't have drinking fountains or anything. It's Small. But it seems fun. I like the olden days," said Emilee Ohman.

The Historical society is also hosting the event next Monday at the Myra Museum.
