92-Year-Old Cited In Deadly Accident Arrested For Driving Without License
Faith Mitzel, 92, was picked up by a Ramsey County Sheriff's Deputy Tuesday morning for driving without a license and not having liability insurance. Mitzel was cited for crossing the center line in a deadly accident May 19.
Faith Mitzel, 92, was picked up by Ramsey County Sheriff's Deputy Tuesday morning for driving without a license and not having liability insurance.
Mitzel of Oberon, North Dakota was also cited for crossing the center line in a deadly accident May 19.
In that accident, she hit two motorcycles..killing Sheri Leidholt who was a passenger on one of the bikes.
After the accident the highway patrol did make a request to the North Dakota Department of Transportation that Mitzel retake a driving test.
The DOT suspended Mitzel's license on June 2.
Mitzel was given a $20.00 dollar ticket for the accident and was contesting it because she claimed the highway patrol's investigation was wrong.
In late July, Mitzel dropped her legal challenge.
Mitzel posted $800.00 bond on the charges of having no liability insurance and driving under suspension Tuesday. She will have to appear in court on the charges.
