The Grand Forks Public Library ended its summer reading program with a celebration for kids today.

About 750 kids signed up for this year's two month program, and 250 young readers finished.

Kids needed to read 10 hours to be eligible to win prizes at today's party. The Top prize was a bike. Other prizes included a fishing pole, games, and a lego set.

Young Readers say they look forward to the program each summer.

"Yeah, last summer was our first year and we really enjoyed it then, so we wanted to do it again this year," 10-year-old Nathan Peasland said.

"I read some books since I'm just a starter reader known as the Bob book series," 5-year-old Tyler Peasland said.

The Library will have reading events throughout the fall. And the Winter Reading Program will kick-off December 4th.
