A 9 year-old miniature show horse has gone missing near Emerado, North Dakota. The horse is leased out at no charge to families with children who want to learn how to show horses.

Platinum is a 32 inch tall, double-registered show horse with a few national championships under his belt. He was last seen Wednesday while on loan to a family about three miles east of Emerado.

He's white and grey and was last shown by a 9 year-old girl at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot.

The owner of Platt is asking for help in finding the horse so he can be used to help more kids.

"[Platt] helps children learn to be confident around horses. He helps them learn to take care of good horse care, good sportsmanship. They learn responsibility. They learn how to exhibit horses," Janet Meyer with Danna's Miniature Horses said.

Anyone with information about Platinum is asked to call the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department at 701-780-8280.
