There was a celebration at Altru Health System today for the unveiling of a memory wall for those who have lost children.
It's the 10th anniversary of the Christmas Angel of Hope that sits in a garden next to Altru and is dedicated to infants and children who have died.
The ceremony at 4:00 today included the unveiling of a wall...where parents can have their child's name put on a block by making a donation.
Parents who have seen loss say the garden is a peaceful place to remember their loved ones and for some find closure.
"It's just wonderful to have it here, to be a place for parents who have lost children of any age to come and just be able to remember them and have a peaceful reflection about it." Marcus Weaver-Hightower said.
The proceeds of the 250-dollar donation to get a child's name on the new wall are used for Altru's Wings of Hope Infant Bereavement program.
