Trial Delayed for Man Accused of Beating UND Former Student Body PresidentAdam Baker has been in a coma since the May 2 attack.
A man charged with second-degree assault for severely injuring a former UND student body president will be in court in September.
23-year-old Alexander Tuomisto of Saint Michael, Minnesota was supposed to be in court today, but his contested hearing was continued.
Tuomisto was arrested after 31-year-old Adam Baker suffered a head wound from an assault at a Saint Michael bar.
Tuomisto has posted a $200,000 bond on the assault charge. His next court date is September 27th.
According to Adam Baker's caringbridge site, he's being moved out of a Minneapolis trauma and into a rehab hospital.
Baker has been in a coma since May 2nd when he was assaulted. He has massive brain injuries.
A fund has been set up to help pay for Baker's medical expenses.
