Middle River Man Accused of Swinging Hammer at Deputy

Dorian Pinder is facing charges of assault using a dangerous weapon, assault of a peace officer, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.

A jury trial has been set for a Middle River man facing charges for swearing at and swinging a hammer at a deputy sheriff.

52-year-old Dorian Pinder is facing charges of assault using a dangerous weapon, assault of a peace officer, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct.

He's pleaded not guilty.

Authorities say Pinder swung the hammer at the deputy on June 7th by his house in Middle River.

He's scheduled for a pre-trial on September 21st and a jury trial September 27th.
