Beet trucks having to used the Drayton Bridge will find some delays this harvest. Road work involving the new bridge will start this week.

A section of highway leading to the old bridge on both side of the Red River at Drayton is being replaced, the old road will start to be removed and replaced starting tomorrow.

Sign holders will stop and start traffic to keep at least one lane open for traffic. Most of the road work should be complete by the middle of september. After that traffic and beet trucks will still have to use a temporary road leading to and from the old Drayton bridge because the new bridge will not open until November.
