UND, NDSU men's basketball rivalry to resume in FargodomeGame scheduled for Dec. 11
FARGO, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota State and the University of North Dakota have firmed up plans for the resumption of their century-old men's basketball rivalry.
NDSU head coach Saul Phillips on Tuesday said the game Saturday, Dec. 11, will be played at the Fargodome. He said the game is expected to draw more fans than the Bison Sports Arena can handle.
The two schools earlier this year signed a two-year contract to resume the series that was discontinued in 2004. A game also is to be played in Grand Forks sometime during the 2011-12 season.
NDSU started an NCAA Division I schedule in 2004 while UND remained in Division II. The Sioux have since moved to Division I.
