First day enrollment numbers show that Grand Forks schools continue to lose students.
There were 6-thousand 699 students in class for the opening days of school...down 151 from last fall.
The district says on a small positive note, the number is just 20 below the enrollment at the end of school in the spring.
At the same time, the numbers indicate that the district lost more than 130 students during the the previous school year.
Superintendent Larry Nybladh says there is concern about the marked decrease in the kindergarten and first grade numbers.
