Grand Forks Woman Killed in Car Crash Identified

The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the woman killed in a car crash just outside of Turtle River State Park.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said 82-year old Elvina Allan of Grand Forks was killed in a car crash near Turle River State Park.

The Larimore Fire Department, Larimore Ambulance Service, and the Grand Forks County Sheriff's Department were at the accident which happened a little after 6 pm.

Officials said Allan was at a stop sign just off U.S. Highway 2 and was pulling her 1989 Crown Victorian out onto the intersection.

Allan pulled in front of a 2002 Dodge Pickup Truck driven by 31-year-old Graciela Gutierrez of Marshall, Minnesota who was heading west on Highway 2.

The truck struck the vehicle on the driver's side.

There were seven passengers in the truck. One female in the pickup was injured and has been taken to Altru.

The sheriff's department says everyone was wearing their seatbelts.
