Charges dropped against woman
GRAFTON, N.D. (AP) — Prosecutors have dismissed charges of reckless endangerment against a woman accused of driving a car at speeds of up to 100 mph with her children inside.
Ana Hernandez also was accused of failing to properly secure her four children in the car when she was speeding July 5. The car ended up in a ditch near Ardoch.
Walsh County State's Attorney Barbara Whelan moved Thursday to dismiss the charges. Whelan said she got a letter from the children's father saying he had lied about the incident.
Judge Richard Geiger dismissed the charges.
