It takes training, it takes stamina, IT is the Extreme North Dakota Adventure Race and it is coming to Grand Forks.
Twenty-nine teams from as far away as Iowa will be competing in what is advertised as the hardest race in North Dakota.
Teams, consisting of two or three people, will bike, run, canoe and orienteer their way through a ten-hour race.
The teams train together, but what they are training for no one is really sure of until race time.
"Teams don't know anything about the course until the morning of the race and they will get a map the morning of the race with check points plotted on it and they will have to find their way to those check points in the various disciplines of the race," says Andy Magness, event organizer.
The race starts at eight a.m. on Saturday, September 4th. This is the fourth race of its kind in North Dakota.
