North Dakota Congressman Earl Pomeroy says he's glad to put a looming ethics investigation behind him.
The Office of Congressional Ethics announced Monday it was unanimously dismissing the case.
Pomeroy said the potential investigation was a surprise because he voted to represent North Dakota's interests against the big banks on Wall Street.
Up for re-election, Pomeroy said his opponent would have liked to have made this into something.
" I'm disappointed in the lack of professionalism, that it became such a public matter.. There was nothing there. Now they conclude at the end, unanimously, bipartisan that there's nothing there," said Pomeroy, who is glad this is over so he can focus on the election.
