UNDATED (AP) - A monthly analysis by The Associated Press finds that Americans' economic struggles persisted in July, but the Dakotas continued to fare well.

The AP's Economic Stress Index shows that nationally, unemployment, foreclosure and bankruptcy rates didn't budge from June.

The AP's index found that the healthiest state was North Dakota, followed by South Dakota.

North Dakota's Ward and Burleigh counties were the two least economically stressed counties with populations of at least 25,000.

North Dakota's Cass, Morton and Grand Forks counties also were in the Top 20 least economically stressed -- as were the South Dakota counties of Brown, Pennington, Brookings, Lincoln and Meade.
