Thompson Bridge To Close Wednesday

The Polk County Highway Department said a three week detour for those who use the Thompson Bridge will start tomorrow.
Construction on the bridge just east of Crookston on County Road seven has halted today because of overnight rain.
Traffic over the Bridge located over the Red River south of Grand Forks will be detoured 24 miles.
Contractors have to switch roads from the old bridge to a new $7.3 million bridge.
The bridge should be closed until October 1st.
