Water Pipe Burst Does Not Affect First Day of School at Crookston HighSchool started on time today for Crookston High School.

Faculty members had to do some quick clean up after a water pipe burst earlier this week caused part of the school to flood.
Superintendent of Crookston Schools Wayne Gilman says because only a small part of the school was affected, there was little doubt the first day would resume.
The flood was mostly contained to the high school office and the hallway outside of it. Gilman says the pipe burst happened between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Most of the clean up and drying ended around 7:30 pm on Wednesday. They are still trying to determine what exactly caused it.
"Eventually, here, we'll dig down and see where the line break was and we'll determine where that is and how they'll fix it," said Gilman.
He said they will have to replace some molding, dry wall and carpeting. Right now, they are still waiting on cost estimates.
