Local Air Force ROTC Detachment Displays Special Ceremony For 9-11Students at the University of North Dakota are among those remembering the victims of 9-11 today.
Students at the University of North Dakota are among those remembering the victims of 9-11 today...nine years after the attacks.
Cadets with the Air Force ROTC Detachment 610 Rifle Drill Team are performing the Changing of the guard Ceremony similar to the ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
The team of 11 cadets is guarding the U.S. Flag at the UND Memorial Union. Every hour on the hour the team performs the entire changing of the guard ceremony for everyone to see.
The Cadets say this is their way of remembering those who died on 9-11 and those serving overseas.
"Well the moment we forget what happened nine years ago, is the moment we forget those who lost their live" says Roughneck Drill Team Commander Cadet Grant Anderson.
The cadets started at 12 this morning and will have a final ceremony tonight at Midnight.
