Medal-winning hockey twins to throw for Twins
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — University of North Dakota hockey players Monique and Jocelyne Lamoureux will throw out the first pitch for the Minnesota Twins home game with the Seattle Mariners.
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) — University of North Dakota hockey players Monique and Jocelyne Lamoureux will throw out the first pitch for the Minnesota Twins home game with the Seattle Mariners.
The twins will be among more than 1,500 UND students, staff and alumni taking part in Saturday's "UND: On Target with the Twins" event. The school's choral group Varsity Bards will sing the national anthem.
The game starts at 6:10 p.m.
The Lamoureux sisters played on the U.S. women's hockey team that won the silver medal at the Vancouver Olympics earlier this year.
