Beer drinkers will have to dig a little deeper into their pockets as the price of beer goes up in North Dakota.
Most local liquor stores say prices will be going up about a buck for a case of beer.
The company that makes Budweiser beer, InBev, made the decision to increase the price in North Dakota.
Other major brands names like Miller will follow suit next month.
Some liquor stores have been warning customers of the increase.
One Grand Forks liquor store even posted signs to prevent sticker shock to it's customers.
The increase will take place in East Grand Forks as well because of the distribution area crosses into border town.
The bump in beer prices will affect the price of keg beer as well. One Grand Forks bar owner estimates that a beer at the bar would increase anywhere from 10 to 25 cents.
Because many liquor stores stocked up on beer before the price increase went into affect you might not see the increases right away.
