MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - More union votes are on tap for Delta Air Lines Inc.

A union that wants to represent roughly 14,000 ramp workers says their election will run from Oct. 14 through Nov. 18. The International Association of Machinists also said it will file cards on Tuesday to trigger an election for a group of more than 16,000 workers including reservation and gate agents.

The ramp workers include about 4,700 people who came from Northwest. They do work such as loading baggage and cargo.

Delta was mostly non-union in 2008 when it bought Northwest Airlines, where nearly all rank-and-file workers were unionized. Those Northwest unions are looking to represent the combined work groups at Delta, which has been encouraging workers to vote against unionizing. A vote for flight attendants starts on Sept. 29.
