Faith Mitzel Makes Court Appearance

The 93-year-old Oberon woman charged with driving with a suspended license and without liability insurance was in court Wednesday.

A 93-year-old Oberon woman was back in court Wednesday, being charged with driving while her license was suspended and without liability insurance.

Faith Mitzel was arrested in August by a Ramsey County Sheriff's Deputy and her pretrial was held today.

Mitzel's trial is set for November 30 in Ramsey County.

Ramsey County States Attorney Lonnie Olson or Mitzel's attorney Monty Stensland did not reach a plea agreement Wednesday.

Olson will still be asking for a 30-day jail sentence and a $1,000 fine for each charge.

Mitzel's attorney Monty Stensland says he feels jail time is a little harsh for the first offense, but no matter what the punishment, the victim's family wants Mitzel's license taken away permanently.
