Grandin Teen Facing Charges in Traill Co. Shooting

Traill County, ND (WDAY-TV) -- A Grandin, North Dakota teenager is in juvenile detention, accused of shooting another teenager late Thursday night. Traill County Sheriff Mike Crocker says the shooting appears to be accidental. The 16-year-old shooter will be facing charges of reckless endangerment and underage drinking.

Traill County, ND (WDAY-TV) -- A Grandin, North Dakota teenager is in juvenile detention, accused of shooting another teenager late Thursday night.

Traill County Sheriff Mike Crocker says the shooting appears to be accidental.

The 16-year-old shooter will be facing charges of reckless endangerment and underage drinking.

It happened at a rural Grandin home at about 10:00 pm.

The 16-year-old victim from Halstad was taken to the hospital, the extent of his injuries aren’t known.

The Traill County Sheriff’s Department and the North Dakota Crime Bureau are investigating.
