DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — Stark County has adopted a "distracted driver" policy for its employees.
The Dickinson Press says the policy prohibits county workers from using electronic devices such as cell phones that would cause them to take their hands off the steering wheel or their eyes off the road.
State's Attorney Tom Henning says there haven't been any problems with distracted county drivers. He says the county commission is being proactive.
The first violation will lead to a written warning. Further violations could lead to a worker's suspension or firing.
