The Grand Forks Herald reports that 53-year-old Donna Eli, and her husband, 53-year-old Philip Eli, were charged Thursday with possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture.
Donna Eli says the 60 marijuana plants seized on her property were not for selling but for medicating her husband who suffers from several ailments.
States Attorney Lonnie Olson said Ramsey County deputies searched the couples property and found the plants Saturday.
