Grand Forks man sentenced for leaving his dog to die in an apartment

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) - A man accused of leaving his dog to die in a Grand Forks apartment will be spending time behind bars. 24-year-old Johnell Hallman turned himself into police yesterday and plead guilty to charges of abandoning an animal in court.

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) - A man accused of leaving his dog to die in a Grand Forks apartment will be spending time behind bars.

24-year-old Johnell Hallman turned himself into police yesterday and plead guilty to charges of abandoning an animal in court.

He was accused of leaving his 5-year-old Pekingese alone in an empty apartment with no food or water. Hallman was sentenced to 4 days in jail and 100 hours of community service.
