Thursday's soaking left two to three inches of rains in many areas.

A very wet summer has left little room for the water to go. A saturated ground going into winter could add to spring flooding woes. Meteorologist Greg Gust from the National Weather Service says the saturated grounds could affect next spring melt.

Greg Gust / National Weather Service : "Minor flood stage in the spring generally is not a big impact because the ground is frozen, the roadways are frozen. But in the summer months and early fall when the ground is thawed your going to see some erosion on the river beds and road that are near the river."
