ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) - Gov. Tim Pawlenty plans to meet with key lawmakers Monday to talk about the possibility of a special legislative session to address flood aid.

Pawlenty visited flood-damaged areas of southern Minnesota Sunday, including Zumbro Falls. The governor says he'll ask for a federal disaster declaration so the process of damage assessments can begin. Pawlenty says damaged roads, bridges and schools would qualify for financial assistance. Help for individual homeowners is yet to be determined.

Emergency management officials continue to monitor river levels in southern Minnesota.

Areas of concern for the coming week include the Minnesota River in Scott and Carver counties and the Mississippi River at St. Paul and Hastings.
