House speaker finalist for parks job
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher is a finalist to head the parks system in Minneapolis.
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher is a finalist to head the parks system in Minneapolis.
Kelliher lost the DFL primary for governor last month and isn't running for re-election to the Legislature.
Kelliher calls Minneapolis parks a "national treasure" that's one of the premiere systems in the Midwest.
The nine-member Parks Board will choose a new superintendent from three finalists, including Kelliher and two park professionals from Georgia and California.
