Bottineau Man Sentenced for Child Porn Possession
A Bottineau man has been sentenced to time served for child pornography.
A 24-year-old Bottineau man will spend a year in jail after child pornography was found on his laptop computer.
Benjamin Thompson was sentenced in federal court to time served and one more year in the Lake Region Law Enforcement Center. After that he'll serve a year on home confinement.
He'll also be on probation for ten years after getting out.
Thompson was arrested after he borrowed his laptop computer to students at the Burdick Job Corps Center in Minot. They reported to school officials that the computer had child pornography on it. An investigation found more than 100 videos and pictures.
