MANDAN, N.D. (AP) — Police have released identities in a North Dakota shooting that left one man dead and another hospitalized.

Mandan Police Chief Dennis Bullinger says 22-year-old Xavier Thompson of Cartersville, Ga., was killed in the shooting about 2 a.m. Saturday. Twenty-five-year-old Steve Voegele of Mandan was injured. An autopsy on Thompson is scheduled Thursday.

Police say an argument over ownership of an iPod music player might have led to the incident at a house party. They did not immediately make arrests. Bullinger says officers recovered two handguns — one with Thompson and one in a yard.

Deputy Chief Paul Leingang says police have dozens of people to interview.
