Keeping children safe when they are walking home from school is the goal during International Walk to School Day.
This week FedEx teamed up with Safe Kids North Dakota teaching kids about how to cross the street.
FedEx workers walked little ones home handing out information on how to stay safe.
Volunteers say it's a program that really helps.
"We have a few volunteers out here from FedEx. Every year we have a National Walk To School Day and we're always out here helping the kids cross the street, looking both ways, using the crosswalk and the kids riding their bikes are wearing their helmets." FedEx manager Troy Gerber said.
Organizers say they are trying to improve the walking environment for students in North Dakota.
