The power went out around 7:00 pm on Thursday evening after a shortage in a power line along 24th St South. 3,100 people were left in the dark.

Residential homes and business between South Washington Avenue and South Columbia Road were without power for about an hour.

According to Xcel Energy, 3,100 customers were left in the dark and blamed it on an underground power line that had failed.

Power came back on a little after 8:00 pm after being out for a little over an hour.
