Tailgating Party Wraps Up UND Homecoming Week

Grand Forks, ND (WDAZ TV) - Fighting Sioux fans show their spirit in Grand Forks and get ready to find out who is crowned homecoming king and queen.

The University of North Dakota's homecoming week draws to a close with a tailgating party. Hundreds of people of all ages show school spirit, some even wear costumes.

Fans talk about their favorite players, drink a little beer and toss around a football. One UND student has a special reason for wanting to see the game.

"It's really fun this year because I'm nominated for homecoming queen so I'll find out today at halftime if I win. But just the atmosphere, the hotdogs and brats grilling everything is fun about it." UND student Ashley Kuntz said.

Students say this is a great way to wrap up homecoming week.
