North Dakota Senator Kent Conrad is honored in Grand Forks for helping improve health in the state.
Conrad is given the Community Service Award from the North Dakota Chapter of the American College of Physicians. Conrad met with doctors from Fargo and Grand Forks at Altru hospital to talk about the healthcare system.
One of the topics of discussion was the Health Care Reform Bill.
"We're still going to have private healthcare, this is not government run this is private healthcare. Private insurance through ones employer. But we are going to cover more people." North Dakota Senator Kent Conrad said.
Conrad says he is honored to receive the award and be recognized for the work he has done.
