BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Burleigh County authorities say construction workers unearthed evidence in a 20-year-old homicide. The discovery does not affect the case.

Sheriff's Maj. Les Witkowski says the four guns found wrapped in a tarp are "the last piece of the puzzle" in the investigation into the murder of Robin Enockson (EE'-nuhk-suhn) in December 1990.

Enockson was found shot dead in his mobile home south of Driscoll. In 2004, Edward Reitan (RY'-tuhn) drove from Washington state to Bismarck to turn himself in. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to life.

One question that remained was what happened to the four weapons Reitan confessed to taking from the crime scene. State crime lab workers tied the guns found by the construction workers to the Enockson case.
