WAHPETON, N.D. (AP) - A North Dakota Army National Guard unit with soldiers from three states has been notified that it might be called to active duty.

The Guard says the alert notice for the 160 members of the 188th Engineer Company does not include a potential duty site.

The unit is based in Wahpeton with a detachment in Oakes. It specializes in construction. Soldiers are trained in carpentry, masonry, plumbing and interior electrical work.

Soldiers in the 188th are from about 50 communities in North Dakota, South Dakota and Minnesota.
