MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Three more Minnesota residents have died from complications of the swine flu, including two children less than 7 years old. All three had underlying health conditions.

That makes 10 people in Minnesota who have died of complications from the virus.

The latest deaths are a child from Steele County, a child from Freeborn County and a Martin County woman in her early sixties. All died within the last two weeks.

The state Health Department said Thursday there have now been 611 hospitalized cases of confirmed swine flu in the state.

In addition, last week 230 schools reported flu outbreaks. An outbreak is defined as either 5 percent of a school's student body is absent or three students in an elementary school classroom are absent due to flu-like illness.
