A Fargo man is behind bars, accused of leading police on a high-speed chase in Minnesota and North Dakota.

Moorhead Police say Arturo Diaz, 31, fled when officers tried to pull him over downtown just before 1:00 am Thursday on suspicion of drunken driving.

Diaz fled, headed west on Highway 10 then jumped on Highway 336 south to get to I-94.

The high-speed chase lasted 15 miles and reached speeds over 100 mph before it ended in south Fargo near 13th Avenue and 25th Street.

During the chase a Minnesota State Trooper used "stop sticks" to deflate the tires.

Diaz then ran away on foot -- and was eventually arrested in the Gateway Circle neighborhood.

He's being held in the Cass County jail, facing extradition charges to Minnesota, where he's facing several charges.
