The University Of North Dakota bus carrying the Fighting Sioux men's hockey team was rear-ended by a car on Highway 2 near Erskine, MN, Thursday at about 4:00 p.m. The bus and team were en route to Bemidji to play a series on Friday and Saturday.

UND athletic media relations director Jayson Hajdu, who is traveling with the team, said a car hit the bus from behind, as the bus stopped at a railroad crossing. Hajdu said no UND players or coaches were injured. He said the other vehicle appeared to be totaled.

A Minnesota Highway patrol spokesman said the car's driver was treated for minor injuries and released. The driver has not been identified.

Hajdu said UND's bus was leaking coolant after the accident, but a new bus arrived after 5:00 p.m. to take the team to Bemidji.
