FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The North Dakota and North Dakota State men's basketball teams will square off in the Fargodome Saturday for the first time in six years, and ticket sales have set a record.

The Forum newspaper reports that sales have hit 9,300, a record for NDSU. The school's previous attendance record of 7,002 was set against South Dakota State in a 1996 game in the Bison Sports Arena.

Saturday's game marks a renewal of the century-long rivalry that stopped when NDSU made the jump from NCAA Division II to Division I. UND has since also made the move.

NDSU athletic director Gene Taylor says the school was hoping to see about 8,000 tickets sold for Saturday's game.

The Fargodome configuration on Saturday could seat as many as 10,000 fans.
