Bail Set At $1 Million for Pembina Murder Suspect
Bail has been set for a man suspected of murdering a Walhalla teenager.
A Pembina man is facing charges, including murder, after authorities say he killed a Walhalla teenager.
24-year-old Miguel Medina-Romero made his first court appearance Monday.
Bond was set at $1 million cash.
Authorities say Medina-Romero shot and killed 19-year-old Bryon Kalis outside a house in Pembina on Saturday night.
Authorities say it was actually Medina-Romero who called 911 about the shooting.
Medina-Romero faces a maximum penalty of life in prison without parole.
Medina-Romero also faces felony drug charges after the Pembina County Sheriff's Department says officers found 10 to 12 marijuana plants in his home.
Medina-Romero is being held at the Pembina County Jail.
