Senator Kent Conrad gave a freshman American Government class an idea of our financial crisis Wednesday.
Students are able to learn from those who actually make decisions in American Government.
Conrad told students that stimulus money has helped save over 800-thousand jobs.
He says the economy is only getting better.
"And that (the stimulus) provided 230 million in tax cuts for individuals, it provided aid to states, it provided help for people who are unemployed," said Conrad.
Instructors say this is one of the best ways for students to get an inside look at government.
