A former Thief River Falls police officer will serve one year in jail for possession of stolen property.

A former Thief River Falls police officer will serve one year in jail for possession of stolen property.

Paul Kezar was sentenced Thursday on four counts, two in Pennington County and two in Marshall County.

Authorities were investigating a stolen lawn mower case and found it had been purchased from Kezar.

Kezar was also involved in the theft and sale of boats, trailers, and A-T-Vs.

He'll also be on supervised probation for 20 years, has restrictions on selling items over the Internet, and has to pay restitution to victims.
